Description: Dried chilli flakes made from coarsely pounded or ground dried chillies, and fresh chillies. In Thai, dried chilli flakes are called phrik pon (Thai script: พริกป่น). They are used extensively in Thai cuisine, for instance in lap, and in nam chim chaeo (Thai: น้ำจิ้มแจ่ว), and for making several types of nam phrik (chilli pastes). The size of the saucer is approximately 4 cm, or 1.6 inch in diameter.
