Description: One of the two Reaching Jaguar sculptures in the collection at The Mariners' Museum. By sculptress Anna Hyatt Huntington who based the jaguars on Senor Lopez, a rather cranky jaguar at the Bronx Zoo. These are not the original, but rather part of a series of copies made by Huntington in the 1920's and 30's.
