Description: Ice House at Hanbury Hall Used in the days before refrigeration to store ice and snow collected during the winter and then used during the rest of the year for chilling food and drinks. The ice and snow was shovelled in through the slot near the top. This is a particularly fine example in the grounds of Hanbury Hall.
