Description: Jalasjarvi local heritage museum Museum: The local heritage museum of Jalasjarvi has two wind mills. The wind mills have become symbols of Jalasjarvi like the proverb:Jalasjarvi is the gate of Botnia. There are restaurauted wind mills also in the villages of Hirvijarvi and Luopajarvi. The most famous wind mill is on the hill of Aittoomaki just on the left side of the highway of valtatie 3. In Jalasjarvi a small scale wind mill models are sold for gardens. The museum has several wooden houses brought also from the other municipalities. On the territory of the museum there are also two houses, which do not belong to the museum itself, but also help to preserve local traditions and local heritage: Pelimannitalo (the house of folk music players) and Perinnetalo (the house for the heritage of the war veterans).
