Description: The New York State Supreme Court courthouse at 60 Centre Street on Foley Square in the Civic Center district of Manhattan, New York City was built 1913-27 as the New York County Courthouse, completion having been delayed by World War I, and was designed by Guy Lowell in the Classical Revival style. It features a Corinthian portico and WPA-sponsored paintings by Attilio Pusterla inside from the 1930s. Not obvioous from the outside, a plan viewe of the building shows that it is laid out in a hexagon with an interior courtyard. Both the interior and exterior are NYC landmarks.
