Description: Peterson Park Fieldhouse, part of the Chicago Park District, Chicago, Illinois. The building is named for Swedish-American Pehr Samuel Peterson (1830-1903), a nurseryman. Originally built as the Laboratory Building of the Municipal Tuberculosis Sanitarium Complex on land donated by the family of Peterson. Completed: 1919. Architect: Jarvis Hunt (1863-1941), renovation by city architect Paul Gerhardt Jr. (1899-1966).
