London Tower is a mountain peak in Alaska, United States. It stands tall at about 7,550 feet (2,301 meters) high. This impressive mountain is part of the Alaska Range. It is located inside Denali National Park and Preserve.
London Tower is found on the east side of the Ruth Gorge. It is about 15 miles (24.5 kilometers) southeast of Denali. Denali is the tallest mountain in North America. London Tower is also about 3.4 miles (5.4 kilometers) south of a peak called The Moose's Tooth.
About London Tower
Even though London Tower is not the tallest mountain, it is very special. Its west side has a huge wall of rock. This wall is over 3,000 feet (914 meters) high! It is made of a very hard rock called Granite.
Right across The Great Gorge to the west, you can see Mount Bradley. It is about 2.5 miles (4.1 kilometers) away. The amazing rock faces of these mountains attract many climbers. They offer exciting challenges for experienced adventurers.
