Townhouse facts for kids
Townhouses are medium-density housing in cities and towns. Modern townhouses are those with a small footprint on several floors. The buildings are exclusively occupied by the wealthy in Boston, Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia and Detroit. Other cities or towns, however, townhouses can be occupied regardless of income.
Townhouses date back to the 1700s.
