Tustin Ranch is a special community located in the city of Tustin, California, which is part of Orange County, California. This area was once a large piece of land called the Irvine Ranch, and it used to be a nature preserve.
In 1982, a company called The Irvine Company decided to build a new community here. This plan was approved in 1986. Tustin Ranch then became part of the city of Tustin and got its own ZIP Code, 92782. Before it was developed, Tustin Ranch was a big farm with citrus trees. Today, you won't find any citrus farms here, but many streets are named after parts of the old ranch!
The plan for Tustin Ranch included building about 7,000 homes. These homes range from big houses to apartments, offering many choices for people living in Orange County. The community is part of the Tustin Unified School District, and there are four schools right within the Tustin Ranch area.
Most of the neighborhoods in Tustin Ranch are built around the Tustin Ranch Golf Course. This golf course has 18 holes and is considered one of the best in Orange County. It covers about 165 acres and has several man-made lakes.

The Tustin Market Place is also where the yearly running event called the Dinosaur Dash takes place.

The Tustin Auto Center is a huge place to buy cars. It's located near Interstate 5 on Tustin Ranch Road. This auto center is one of the biggest in the area, with 20 different car dealerships. They sell more than 220 cars every day! At any time, you can find about 5,000 cars here. This auto center brings a lot of money to the city of Tustin.
