Diana Yekinni is a talented British Nigerian actress known for her roles in movies and TV shows in both the United States and Nigeria.
Early Life and Training
Diana Yekinni was born and grew up in South London, England. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a performer.
She attended the famous BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. This is a special school in London that has trained many famous singers and actors. After her time there, she moved to Los Angeles to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, a well-known acting school.
Acting Career
Diana's professional acting journey began in 2009. She appeared in an American TV show called Medium. A year later, in 2010, she acted in two movies, Ijé and Mosa.
A big moment in her career came in 2012. She won the first-ever GIAMA Screen Icon Search Competition in Houston, Texas. This award helped her get more roles.
Since then, she has appeared in many popular Nigerian movies and TV shows. You might have seen her in Lagos Cougars, Lunch Time Heroes, or the hit TV series Jenifa's Diary, where she played the character Genevieve.
More recently, she acted alongside Hollywood star Gal Gadot in the 2023 Netflix movie Heart of Stone. In the film, she played Clara, a secret agent known as the "Six of Hearts."
