About Grijota
Grijota is located just 7 kilometers (about 4.3 miles) from Palencia, which is the capital city of its province. It is also 57 kilometers (about 35 miles) away from Valladolid, the main city of the Castile and León region.
A Growing Community
Even though some areas nearby are losing population, Grijota has been growing steadily since the late 1990s. New groups of houses, some with over 100 homes, have been built there. The first of these new areas started being built in 1999.
Thanks to this growth, Grijota is now the ninth most populated municipality in the Province of Palencia. This means more people are choosing to live in Grijota, making it a lively and expanding community.
