How Halls Got Its Name
The community of Halls has had a few different names over time. It was once called Hall's Mill and later Hall's Station. The name "Halls" comes from a railroad agent named L. H. Hall. He was an important person in the area's early days because of his connection to the railroad.
Early Post Office
For many years, Halls had its own post office. It was called Hall's Mill and helped people send and receive letters and packages. This post office was open from 1868 until 1895. Having a post office was a big deal back then, as it connected the community to the rest of the world.
