Hiroyuki Takeda: A Football Journey
Hiroyuki Takeda was born in Kobe, Japan, on November 30, 1983. He grew up loving football and decided to pursue it as a career. He became a professional goalkeeper, known for his skills in stopping goals.
Early Days and First Clubs
After finishing high school, Takeda joined Mito HollyHock, a club in the J2 League (which is Japan's second-highest football league) in 2002. For a few years, he didn't play many games because another great goalkeeper, Koji Homma, was usually in goal. However, in 2006, Takeda got more chances to play when Homma was injured. Even so, he wasn't able to become the main goalkeeper for the team.
In 2008, Takeda moved to Tochigi SC, a team in the Japan Football League (JFL). Although he didn't play any matches that year, his team, Tochigi SC, was promoted to the J2 League by the end of the 2008 season. From 2010 onwards, Takeda started to play more often for Tochigi SC, showing his talent as a goalkeeper.
Moving Up and Playing Goalkeeper
In 2013, Takeda joined another J2 League club, Giravanz Kitakyushu. Here, he became the regular goalkeeper and played in many matches, showing how important he was to the team. His good performances led him to move to Cerezo Osaka in 2014, a club in the J1 League, which is the top football league in Japan.
However, at Cerezo Osaka, it was tough for Takeda to get playing time because of another strong goalkeeper, Kim Jin-hyeon. Cerezo Osaka was also relegated back to the J2 League at the end of the 2014 season. In 2017, Takeda moved to Tokyo Verdy, another J2 League club. He stayed there for two seasons but didn't get to play in any matches. In 2019, he joined FC Tiamo Hirakata, a club in the Japanese Regional Leagues, where he continued his playing career.
From Player to Coach
After a long career as a player, Hiroyuki Takeda started a new chapter in football. In 2022, he became the manager of FC Tiamo Hirakata, the same JFL club where he had been playing. He led the team from September of that year. Before the 2023 season began, he took on a different role, becoming the goalkeeper coach for the team. This meant he was helping other goalkeepers improve their skills, sharing his many years of experience.
