This historic park, deeded to the City in 1870, boasts a panoramic view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks, with a promenade, playground, monuments and a bandshell. A commemorative cannon and a statue of Vermont's famous civil war General William W. Wells is captured in this photograph.The cannon is a 75 mm pack howitzer, M116 or similar.
