Description: 150-152 East 38th Street between Lexington and Third Avenues in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City was built in 1858, and was remodeled in 1934-35 by Robertson Ward. It was originally an outbuilding on the property of the Van Buren family (connected to President Martin Van Buren), and was converted into a residence and office by developer Russell A. Pettengill. The three-story neo-Federal house is well set back from the street, with a walled front garden. It was designated a NYC Landmark in 1967.
