Description: Former residential buildings located at 1609 (right) and 1611 (left) Connecticut Avenue NW in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. 1609 was built in 1904 and designed by Nathan C. Wyeth and William Penn Cresson. 1611 was built in 1895 for Ellen Mason White Colton, the widow of David D. Colton, and designed by Carl B. Keferstein. It was later the residence of Qing ambassador Chang Yin Tang. Both buildings are contributing properties to the Dupont Circle Historic District.
