Description: This extract from a 1947 map of the w:Republic of China (1912–1949) shows the border claimed against the Ladakh region of India. Though the map is of low resolution, it is possible to conclude that: it cross the w:Demchok sector near the Chang La pass includes the w:Spanggur Tso within Ladakh dissects the w:Pangong Tso at its narrowest, i.e., near the w:Khurnak Fort crosses the w:Chang Chenmo Valley at w:Lanak La includes within Ladakh all the rivers that drain into the w:Shyok River (including the w:Galwan River), and crosses the Qaratagh range at the Karatagh Pass (taking the Qaratagh-su as the source of the w:Karakash River) See Karackattu, Joe Thomas (2020).
