Description: The Chevrolet Motor Company was formed in 1911. A mid sized car, the Chevelle was introduced in 1964. The 1966 Chevelle got an all new body; smoother with coke bottle styling. 1967 was just a facelift, an updated front and rear. The El Camino Coupe Utility was Chevelle based from 1964. Base model was the Chevelle 300, available in 2 or 4 door Sedans. Mid spec was the 300 Deluxe; 2 or 4 door Sedans and 4 Wagon. The upmarket model was the Chevelle Malibu; 2 door Hardtop, Convertible, 4 door Hardtop, Sedan and Wagon The Malibu SS396 (all SSs got the 396) the performance model, only available in 2 door Hardtop or Convertible, it got strengthened chassis, stiffer suspension, simulated hood scoops, extra chrome mouldings, bucket seats, console and extra gauges. The El Camino Coupe Utility was available in base or Custom (bucket seats and console) Engines; 120hp 194 ad 155hp 230 cu in 6 cyl, 195hp 283 V8, 250, 300 and 325hp 327 V8, 350hp 396 cu in V8 (only on SS) Also available in 1967 was the full size Biscayne, Bel Air and Impala, the C2 Corvette Sting Ray Sports car, the rear engine Corvair and the compact Chevy II (Nova) New for 67, the Camaro Pony Car
