Description: The First Year Class at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Photo appears to have been taken on the front stairs of the Toronto Registry Office (demolished in the 1960s), which was adjacent to Osgoode Hall. At the time of this photograph, the only accredited law school in Ontario was the Law Society of Upper Canada's own Osgoode Hall Law School, with its facilities downtown in Osgoode Hall. In 1969, the Ontario Ministry of Education would require all law schools to be affiliated with a university, and the Osgoode Hall Law School would relocate north to the campus of York University (yet maintain the name associated with its former premises).
