Description: Der Flutstein ist ein Werk in Frankfurt (Oder), welches die Gronenfelder Werkstätten nach einer Idee der Leiterin Toni Gehlsen schufen. Er wurde nach dem Oderhochwasser 1997 errichtet. Gestiftet hat die 1,5 m hohe Stele der Lions Club. Sie besteht aus sechs Quadern. Die untersten vier stehen exakt übereinander, der fünfte ist leicht verdreht und der sechste steht auf einer seiner Kanten. Auf der gegenüberliegenden, obersten Kante sitzt ein Richtung Oder blickender Vogel. Auf den Steinen ist Frankfurt und die Oder abgebildet. Dabei ist die Oder auf dem untersten Stein flach dargestellt, und sie wird, je höher der Stein, immer größer und wilder dargestellt. Eingeweiht wurde das Werk im September 1998 von Generalleutnant Hans-Peter von Kirchbach. Zu finden ist der Flutstein an der Oderpromenade unweit des Kartoffelhauses auf dem Holzmarkt. [1].
