Description: The Greek Revival and Italianate row houses at 291-299 (odd) and 290-324 (even) State Street between Smith and Hoyt Streets in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City were the result of the conversion of the formerly rural area into a fashionable neighborhood in the middle of the 19th century. The buildings, which were constructed between 1847 and 1874, were designated a NYC landmark in 1973 and a U.S. Historic District in 1980.
