Description: Lothal: Lothal used to be a port in the bornze age. It is a Harappan site. The remains found here date back to 2900BC. Lothal had a very sophisticated system for waste management. All the drain met with the main sewage line at right angles. There were 2-3 steps built in the drains to filter out solid wastes so that only liquid waste was released into the sewer. This was then carried away to the sea by the current of the river Sabarmati
