Two apartment buildings are shown; Savvidis's apartment building (left) designed in 1934 by architect Nikolaos Nikolaidis (1891–1967) in the then fashionable "modern," "rationalist," or "cubist" style; and an apartment building (right) built in the 1950s, possibly designed by architect Emmanouil Vourekas according to "classicizing modernism," or "simplified classicism," as it is referred to in Greek bibliography, and which was popular for many apartment buildings between 1950–1960.
