Additional info from the caption in the British Museum: Red granite king head from giant statue in the Temple of Mut in Thebes (c. 1390 BC). One of a pair of statues that stood in front of the Temple of Khonspekhrod; the arm is also in the British Museum, but the torso remains at the original site. The identity of the depicted king is disputed, but is speculated to be Amenophis III.
