Data comes from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey 2019 (1-Year), from which data is easily accessible here. In 2019, there were an estimated 16,146,739 Americans with Italian Ancestry in the United States, making up approximately 4.92% of the country's 328.2 million inhabitants. The five states with the most Americans with Italian Ancestry were New York (2,243,284), Pennsylvania (1,388,302), California (1,340,527), New Jersey (1,334,768), and Florida (1,218,840). The five states with the highest concentration of Americans with Italian Ancestry were Rhode Island (16.60%), Connecticut (16.32%), New Jersey (15.03%), Massachusetts (11.64%), and New York (11.53%).
