Description: Commemorative stone in Three Close Lane, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, UK. The cemetery was opened in 1842 by the Countess of Bridgewater for the Church of St Peter, Great Berkhamsted. Inscription is as follows: In the year of our Lord 1842 this land was presented for a burial ground to the parish of Berkhamsted St Peter by Carlotte Catherine Anne Countess of Bridgewater. The walls enclosing the same were erected without the aid of a rate by the following. voluntary contributions. The rev. John crofts £50 0s The Rt. Hon. Mark Lord Somerville £25 0s The Hon.
