Description: Blackpool Transport Brush Railcoach tram No.630. These trams were built in 1937-38 to supplement the existing streamlined fleet. After the wholesale destruction of the original English Electric Railcoaches from the late 60's to the early 70's, the Brush cars were the only streamlined single deck cars left in Blackpool. This one, 630, has a relatively complex history. In the 1990's it was modernised with bus-type seating and windows, rubber bumpers, modern indicator lights and a all-enclosed pantograph tower which enclosed low-voltage equipment. It soldiered on in Blackpool until the end of the traditional tramway in November 2011, when it was repainted in to 1990's fleet livery and donated to the National Tramway Museum, Crich. It entered service there in May 2012 and has operated regularly there since.
