Description: Snaffle bit in bronze from the Polden Hill Hoard, Somerset, now in the British Museum. Tag on exhibit reads: "Bridle-bit, buried AD 80-150, Polden Hill Hoard, Somerset. Several different sets of horse harness in cast bronze with opaque red glass inlay are represented in the hoard.
