Description: Bromford Junction on the BCN Main Line canal near Oldbury, West Midlands, England. Taken from the Horseley Ironworks roving bridge over the Spon Lane Locks Branch, looking at Spon Lane bottom lock. The other Horseley bridge is over the BCN New Main Line, looking towards Birmingham. Behind the camera, the Island Line (New Main Line) meets the bottom lock of the Spon Lane Locks Branch (originally the Wednesbury Canal - part of the original Birmingham Canal to Wednesbury). In the distance, a raised section of the M5 motorway, and in front of that, the overhead power lines of the Birmingham to Wolverhampton Stour Valley railway line. Photographed by me 9 August 2007.
