Description: Bronwydd Mansion The south aspect of the gothic sham castle designed and built in the 1850s by R. K. Penson for the Baronets Lloyd of Bronwydd. It has been empty since not long after the last World War and has now largely collapsed through neglect. The ruins stand on the bank of the Afon Cynllo in the south of this grid-square, much of which was originally landscaped parkland.
