Description: Cadeirlan Bangor Cathedral The church here was established about AD530 by Deiniol. The word Bangor referred to the post and wattle fence which Deiniol's monks constructed around the site for defence. This view shows the 16th century belltower on the left and Gilbert Scott's 19th century tower on the right.
