Description: It is unusual for fawns to have triplets. While fawn mortality and overall mule deer numbers have declined in the Diablo Range, superior habitat restoration with native forage and replacement of cattle troughs with cleaner wildlife drinkers at the Cañada de los Osos Ecological Reserve have improved survival.
