Description: Chatham Dockyard, Kent,England has the finest collection of 18th and 19th century naval dockyard buildings many of which are scheduled as ancient monuments. Designed by Edward Holl. The gallery was supported on cast iron columns- one of the first usages in the dockyard. Built in 1806, box pews removed in 1878 closed in 1981.
