Description: Church Tower. Church of Saint Thomas Becket, built AD 1225. To the left of the tower is a stone column with a sun-dial on top, protected by metal railings, which is some 300 years old. The sun-dial affixed to the church porch was showing 1pm, when the correct time was 2.30pm. Allowing for BST, it is still half an hour wrong! For close-up, see picture903882.
