Description: The Church of the Living Hope at 161 East 104th Street between Lexington and Third Avenues in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City was, along with the Church of the Resurrection, a spin-off from the East Harlem Protestant Parish. The congregation is part of the United Church of Christ. The building it occupies was originally the Harlem Carriage and Wagon Works and, along with the former 28th Precinct building at #177-179, was one of a suite of buildings redeveloped by Hope Community, Inc, a non-profit housing organization.
