Description: The coat of arms of Gyöngyös A felül egyenes vonalú, hosszúkás, csúcsos, fekete szegélyű címerpajzson, zöld sík, füves mezőben, balról jobbra futó fekete színű farkas. A pajzsfő és a pajzsderék kék színű, a pajzsfő elején aranyszínű nyolcágú csillag, a pajzsfő hátsó részén ezüstszínű emberarcú holdsarló. A címerpajzs körül aranyszínű barokkos jellegű indadíszek. A város legősibb címere egy XVII. századi pecsétnyomó színtelen vésetén maradt fenn. E századból származó okleveleken, iratokon található Gyöngyös város címerének legkorábbi ábrázolása, mely minden bizonnyal a későbbi címerrajzolatok alapjául is szolgált.
