Description: Copley Church, Greetland. St Stephen's Church was built between 1865 and 1870 by Edward Ackroyd for his employees at Copley Mills. It is in a French style, with a polygonal apse. It had to be built over the river in Greetland as the Rector of Halifax would not allow it to be built in his parish. The architect was W H Crossland.
