Description: Düsseldorf-Lierenfeld, Germany, memorial plaque at Lager Höherweg. In memory of the Sinti of Düsseldorf against whom the Nazis committed ethnic murder in the Höherweg Camp. From 1937 to 1945 more than 200 Düsseldorf Sinti were interned in Höherweg. Many of them died of the inhuman conditions in the camp; over 100 were deported and murdered.
