IT STANDS ON THE SITE OF A FORMER SHIPYARD WHERE THE FIRST U.S. DESTROYER, THE BAINBRIDGE, WAS BUILT AND ALSO THE FIRST SUBMARINE DURING THE CIVIL WAR. IT IS NOW PLANNED TO BE A HOTEL COMPLEX
