The character's name is given as Dr. Emile Koning. Note that while the Python's script book for this episode indicates it should have been John Cleese, Cleese had left the programme. Adams's appearance in the role was confirmed first by Neil Gaiman and later by M.J. Simpson in their respective biographies of Adams. Screenshot was made from the US/Region 1 DVD release of Monty Python's Flying Circus. Episode 42? Image size 42kb? Coincidence? I think not.
