Description: Danish Camp is an Iron Age fortified settlement in Shoeburyness, Essex. It is called Danish Camp because it was wrongly believed to have been built by the Danish Viking leader, Haesten. See https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1017206. The site is part of the Gunners Park and Shoebury Ranges Nature Reserve, managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust.
