Description: These are drawings of osteoderms (scutes) from Deinosuchus, a massive Cretaceous crocodilian. The osteoderms differ significantly from those of modern species; they are much thicker, and covered in deep and wide pits. The left and upper-right drawings illustrates the dorsal (overhead) view, while the lower-right drawing illustrates the posterior (side) view.
