Short Course—(Maryland Agricultural College, January 10-15.)As follow-up work, two womens clubs are taking short courses,meeting one a month. The movable schools have been requested forJanuary and March respectively. Three single lectures have beenrequested. The Womans Federated Clubs of Maryland are most anxious to co-operate with the Home Demonstration movement. At my suggestion,they are planning a movement to bring about a better communityspirit throughout the counties by encouraging the club of one countyto invite a Hub of ;i neighboring county to its monthly meeting. Theyare also encouraging the various county clubs to embody home demon-stration work in their programs. The women of the State take very kindly to the scientific side of thework. A (Jranti-e on the Eastern Shore has called for a course in Chemistry of Eousehold Reagents. Bates Stephens, Secretary State Board of Education,Annapolis, Md. Dear Sir:-—I herewith submit my report for the Maryland StateNormal School. During the scholastic year ending July 31, 1915, 331 students wereenrolled in the Normal School, and 54 in the Model School, the smallernumber in the latter school being due to its expected removal to an-other locality. In June, 79 students received diplomas. As far asknown all are now teaching. I am glad to report that the student body has shown the same earn-estness of purpose which has characterized it hitherto.
