Description: C. 1910 postcard view of Crawford Nebraska, looking south on Second Street from Main. A number on the back of the postcard reads "11959". It is postmarked July 1912. No author is stated on the image. The photo was taken at earliest in 1907, the year Kennedy building (the last brick building on the right side of the street) was constructed, and at latest 1912, the year the postcard is postmarked. This photo depicts a much different Crawford than exists today. The city has transformed from a booming "saloon element" town to quiet, less populous rural community. However, it is notable that all of the two-story brick buildings depicted are still standing, although in varying states of repair. As the postcard this image was scanned from was obviously published before 1978 in the United States and does not have a copyright notice printed anywhere on it, it is currently in the public domain and is therefore eligible for inclusion on Wikimedia Commons.
