Along the bottom edge of this, the words "Church" and "Part of Los Angeles" can be seen clearly, while fading or erased writing is faintly visible beneath it. Hills are depicted in the background, along with a network of tree rows. Generally considered to be the oldest extant drawing of the city.[1]
