HOWEVER WHEN CORNWALLIS CAME THROUGH WITH 12,000 BRITISH TROOPS HE SMELLED THE BREAD AND ASKED HER TO BAKE FOR HIM SHE REPLIED “I GIVE THIS BREAD NOT IN LOVE BUT IN FEAR”.
