Description: Goddesses, garden, and mansion at 'Elm Bank' - Elm Bank Horticulture Center Dover, Massachusetts, USA. These three monumental sculptures are by sculptor Martin Milmore (1844-1883) at age 20, and were originally created as part of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society Hall on Tremont Street, Boston. Elm Bank Horticulture Center is the present headquarters of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society. The estate was originally known as the Cheney Estate, and is located in Dover, MA, with access across the Cheny Bridge from Route 16 in Wellesley, MA. These sculptures are now in the public domain, because the author-artist died more than 70 years ago.
