Description: The inaugural race of Nürburgring's new Grand Prix track on 12 May 1984 was an exhibition involving Formula 1 drivers, including retired drivers such as Stirling Moss and World Champions including Jack Brabham. They all drove identical Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16 sport saloons, with Alain Prost on pole position and Ayrton Senna second. Senna took the lead on the opening lap, at the first corner.
