Description: A fiberglass hot stick with a safety ground (earthing) wire attached, used to ground the deenergized overhead line of an electric railway, as a safety measure to ensure that no hazardous voltage is present while the line is worked on by linemen. The earthing wire is attached to the red terminal block which is clamped to the rail, which serves as the ground terminal for the line.
