Description: Picture of the Hill - McCallam - Davies House, one of the four houses of Evergreen Hamlet, located on Evergreen Hamlet Road (Rock Ridge Road) in Ross Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, on November 14, 2009. Evergreen Hamlet was a planned community that was founded by William Shinn in 1851. The house in this picture was probably built in 1852. Architect: Joseph W. Kerr (1815-1888). Kerr likely designed all four of the Evergreen Hamlet houses. Architectural style: Gothic Revival. :*Evergreen Hamlet is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Evergreen Hamlet houses are on private property, so I took the best picture that I could from Evergreen Hamlet Road (Rock Ridge Road). If anyone manages to get a nicer picture, feel free to replace this image with a better one.
